The types of crushing process should be decided according to different crushing sections and different combinations of crusher and screen.
The crushing section is the basic unit in crushing process which consists of screening operation and crushing operation. Some special crushing section not include the screening operation or it includes two kinds of screening operation simultaneously.
We can see from the following chart of the basic forms of crushing section: a shows single crushing operation, b shows a crushing section with pre-screening works, c shows a crushing section with check-screening works, d and e show the crushing sections with pre-screening and check-screening works and the difference is that the former is the pre-screening and check-screening conducted on different screens, and the latter is conducted on the same screen, so e can be regarded as d’s change. In fact, the crushing section just have four kinds of forms.
More than two sections of the crushing process are the various combinations of different crushing section forms, so there are many possible solutions. However, the reasonable crushing process can be confirmed according to required numbers of crushing section, as well as the necessity of the pre-screening and check-screening.
