At present, the most common crushing process is three-step closed crushing or two-step open & closed crushing. In three-step crushing process, normally, primary crushing uses jaw crusher. It is suitable to crush the material with the compressive strength less than 320Mpa, like common ore, cobble, granite, limestone, basalt, marble and so on.
In secondary crushing process, use standard cone crusher. When the cone crusher works, electric motor drives the belt pulley or the gear shaft to rotate, drive shaft and cone body make the eccentric shaft periodically oscillating and rotating around the center axis, thus making the crushing wall sometime close to the concave, sometimes leave from it. After the material enter into the crushing chamber, they are continuously striking, grinding and squeezing under the interaction of eccentric shaft and concave until the material reach the required granularity, and then discharged from the lower outlet.
In third-step fine crushing process, use short head cone crusher. The working principle of short head cone crusher is the same as that of standard cone crusher, the difference is the shape of crushing taper.
For the ore dressing plant with less handling capacity, the customer can use roller crusher in three-step crushing process.
